Podcast: John George and the Motor City Blight Busters
Community activist John George has been a part of the far West Side neighborhood of Old Redford for as long as anyone can remember. During the 90s, it was his idea to change the name of the infamous "Devil's Night" which almost annually saw dozens of homes burned down to "Angel' Night" where Detroiters went out and patrolled their neighborhoods to thwart arsonists.
But he's facing an uphill battle with his storied Motor City Blight Busters, which he founded more than 20 years ago. Still a cheerleader for the city, he shares his vision of what his area and the city can be.

This is very hard work but it can be done, look at the downtown area and how beautiful it is around Ford Field and Tigers Stadium, we can make the whole city shine like that!
